Bootloader Development Manager, Intel Corporation, Chandler, 2015-Present Responsible for delivering bootloader for all IOTG projects. Led the team to develop Slim Bootloader to satisfy IOTG customers. Slim Bootloader is an open-source boot firmware, built from the ground up to be small, secure and optimized running on Intel x86 architecture. https://slimbootloader.github.io/introduction/index.html Software Development Manager, Intel Corporation, Chandler, AZ. 2010-2015 Was responsible for all planning, scheduling, development, execution and reporting activities of a team of 29 including a manager with 9 reports. Responsibility included development of Bootloader, BIOS, VBIOS, Security Firmware / Software & Platform Controller Hub Firmware. Managed Bootloader team: Was responsible for managing bootloader team. Lead the team to deliver Bootloader for IOTG platforms. Ran the Bootloader CCB and Sysdebug meeting. Provided leadership and guidance for all Bootloader customer requests and issues, and then assigned associated priority and resources for implementation. Managed BIOS team: Managed the IOTG BIOS team through a first line manager. Was responsible for delivering BIOS for all IOTG platforms. Drove team to participate in Coreboot Open Source Community. Hired an FSP developer, trained him with FSP & Coreboot background. Guided the developer to implement Coreboot Upstreaming Process. Drove Baytrail Gold3 Coreboot changes into Coreboot Master Branch. Managed Firmware Support Package (FSP) development team for Internet of Things Group (IOTG). Intel FSP is designed to support any boot loader in the market, including proprietary and open-source boot loaders. FSP has become the industry standard for Open Source community to develop any bootloader.

Managed firmware development of Presario mobile systems: Wrote BIOS Specification for Presario mobile systems. Managed BIOS development with offshore development partner (Inventec, Taiwan). Managed BIOS validation team. Developed BIOS test plan.

Ported AMI BIOS to various AT chipset: Implemented system and power management BIOS for Pico Power's Redwood chipset designed for Green PC. Job for System BIOS included auto memory/cache sizing in protected mode, shadowing, setup page to program chipset registers etc. Power management portion included doze, sleep and static suspend in SMM. Provided FLASH upgrade utility for the motherboard which had 28F010 Flash part. Ported OPTi 693/696 Pentium chipset to AMI BIOS.

Ported Award BIOS to Intel Chipset: Ported Intel's Mercury /Saturn chipset to Award BIOS for Pentium EISA platform which included auto memory sizing in protected mode, system BIOS or video BIOS shadowing, caching, Fast Gate 20 support and all other chipset related functions. Wrote BIOS upgrade utility to erase and program 4 Mega Bit flash memory 28F004. Maintained source code control using PVCS.
