The Pacific Center for Creative Learning (PCCL) was a private educational center created for the education of mentally gifted minors. Teachers created a personalized curriculum for each student with input from the student and parents. The children ranged in age from 7-10 years old but the curricula were based on California high school level standards. Thus, science courses included chemistry and biology, and mathematics courses included Euclidian geometry and intermediate algebra. All students learned computer coding.

Lakeland is a liberal arts college offering both undergraduate and graduate degrees in a wide variety of disciplines. It was the first private American institution of higher education to receive recognition from the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
