Use root cause (TapRooT) methodology to identify casual factors and recommend corrective actions for the Terminal, Transportation, and Rail division of Marathon Petroleum. Investigations include incidents relating to environmental, safety, product quality, or reputation concerns.

Frontline Manager of a light product petroleum terminal with a budget in excess of $2MM. Responsibilities include operation, maintenance, and scheduling of a transport loading rack, river barge unloading dock, and tank farm with 13 in-service tanks.

Facility Manager of light product petroleum pipeline facility which saw daily rack throughputs over one million gallons. Terminal responsibilities also included product quality oversight of aviation fuel that supplied the Columbus International Airport. Primary team member which gained star status through OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) in 2013.

Entry level management position of a light products barge facility. Oversaw Terminal Operations with a storage capacity in excess of 400,000 bbls of refined product. Primary duties included organization of maintenance and operations which included brown water barge scheduling, rail car deliveries, including methanol and lube oil exchanges.

Relocated to Kenai Alaska to be Operational Lead for a project that transferred SCADA operations from Marathon Oil to Marathon Petroleum of four natural gas pipelines which served the Cook Inlet Region. Responsible for scheduling and maintaining continual operation of the pipeline assets during the transition. Transition was completed ahead of Schedule (Q4 2008). Remained in Kenai to help initiate maintenance and operation programs for new assets.

Marathon Pipeline has partial ownership interests with several pipeline companies that have operational interests in approximately 110 miles of crude oil pipelines and 3,600 miles of refined products pipelines, including about 970 miles operated by MPL. My role included safe, remote, operation of light product pipelines throughout the Ohio and Chicago markets. Additionally, I operated the main crude feed to Marathon's Catlettsburg Refinery (31st Largest in America).
