NJ Marriage Equality Campaign working to pressure the legislature into passing equal marriage rights through grassroots organizing. Involved postcarding, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, phone banking, etc...

 Investigated claims of employment and public accommodation discrimination under local and federal laws.  Interviewed complainants and witnesses and reviewed data to determine if cases had probable cause.  Drafted letters of determination, requests for information, and rebuttal requests in support of litigation.

 Performed trademark searches and evaluated client’s trademark registration potential.  Reviewed documentaries for copyright and trademark violations, and wrote Errors and Omissions letters.  Worked with the AU Entrepreneurship incubator to inform and assist with the IP strategies in developing their companies.

 Processed and responded to international evidence requests.  Analyzed the customary treatment of bank accounts under the Vienna Convention of Diplomatic Relations.

 Researched trademark and trade dress laws and procedures; and prepared USPTO applications.  Wrote cease and desist letters, and responded to cease and desist letters, for infringed trademark clients.  Edited and updated Franchise Disclosure documents.

Responsible for Sales and Marketing of Kaplan Courses in East Carolina and Durham including at Duke University, NC State University, East Carolina University, and UNC-Wilmington. Promote courses through managing relationships with key advisers and clubs, academic and sales presentations, administering marketing events, performing call campaigns, and managing student employees who help generate student leads and promote brand recognition. Promoted from Charlotte Manager doubling regional sales responsibility.

 Oversaw marketing and sales for Kaplans Graduate Prep Classes [GRE, LSAT, GMAT, MCAT, PCAT, DAT, OAT].  Organized grassroots marketing efforts and presentations at UNC-Charlotte, Davidson and surrounding schools.

 Developed goals and strategy memos for legal improvements in ethics and IP in Eastern Europe.  Researched near east countries IP and franchising laws in an effort to promote regional investment.
