I have an MD/PhD in neuroscience, currently completing my neurology residency at Stanford. My scientific expertise deals with the social brain, or the networks of the brain that underlie real-world social networks. With mentors Drs. Bradford Dickerson and Lisa Feldman Barrett from Harvard University and Northeastern, I identified regions and networks of the brain that enable people to build and maintain larger, more complex social networks. Now, at Stanford, I've begun to investigate the genetic drivers of these brain networks as well as how they are altered by traumatic brain injury and recover with noninvasive brain stimulation. I have also founded and consulted businesses for major players in the health technology space, including AC Milan, with a focus on big data from wearable devices.

After completing Neurology residency at Stanford, I am now specializing in Sports and Behavioral Neurology at UCLA. Here, I see patients across the lifespan with head injury of any severity, from any mechanism, at any time post-injury. I also see patients with early-onset dementia as well as difficult-to-diagnosis progressive changes in cognition or behavior. In addition to patient care, I conduct research using brain imaging, psychophysiology, and novel therapeutics to better diagnose, track, and treat these conditions.
