Kerry Sanders

Kerry has 20 years’ experience in Financial Services and the Funds Management industry. She has a proven track record in leading large, complex projects successfully. She has a strong acumen of digital technologies and a significant appreciation for their role in a Modern Finance team. Kerry is an accomplished leader having led a number of Finance functions and large transformational programs. She thrives on the ability to lead a team where she can leverage talent and technology to create strategic business outcomes. Kerry has worked in multiple leadership roles at QIC. During her tenure, she has held numerous roles across the Finance function, her current role is responsible for directly supporting the CFO across a broad range of outcomes associated with delivering innovation and change for the Finance team, requiring a strategic and client servicing focus, high level decision making and significant collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. She has also led the Corporate accounting function through delivering accounting services for QIC and its subsidiary companies, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and influencing Enterprise outcomes through the provision of financial analysis, decision support, partnering and advice. Kerry is a passionate advocate for the environment, sustainability and true inclusion. She loves to learn and has a natural ability to pick up and absorb information quickly. Kerry’s key strengths include leading through change, making sense of large, complicated problems and bringing the right people together to find a solution. Kerry enjoys looking at ways to deliver smarter and reduce costs, putting technology as a key business enabler for business growth. Kerry worked as a Chartered Accountant prior to QIC. She holds a fellowship designation for CPA Australia and is a member of the CPA Committee for Woman. She has completed a number of executive leadership courses including: UQ Leadership for Senior Executive Women and the Chief Executive Women (CEW) Leadership course. Kerry is a proud mother of two.
