Provided compassionate care in arranging funeral and/or cremation services to families who experienced a death of a loved one. Culturally diverse knowledge, family centered care, and careful attention to detail were essential to providing the best standard of service. Duties included contacting clergy, arranging funeral times, leading and directing funerals and graveside services. Assuring obituaries, death certificates, and other necessary paperwork was completed and filed in a timely manner. Preparing deceased remains for viewing, adhering to and exceeding company expectations of service excellence, following state and OSHA regulations, communication with staff, understanding of grief process, and use of therapeutic communication with families.

Provide professional, safe nursing care using evidence based practice for four to six patients on a 36-bed neurological/telemetry unit. Responsible for assessing patients, assisting with planning and managing care plans, providing appropriate nursing interventions and documentation. Safe administering of medications, including IV titrates, reviewing patient laboratory or other diagnostic results, communicating and collaborating with all members of the healthcare team. Admitting and discharging patients, educating patients and families about their medical condition, and ensuring all core measures of treatment are met.
