Provide senior leadership and strategic direction to the Talent Acquisition Service Centre to ensure clients are supported and the talent acquisition function is delivered consistently, efficiently, and effectively APS-wide to ensure business demands are met. In this position, I lead a team involved in strategic, tactical and operational aspects of delivering APS-wide talent acquisition services/initiatives. As part of the PSC senior management team, I work to identify and assess challenges, issues, and trends and contribute to the collective work of APS HR strategy, one-employer focused client solutions, best practices, and outcomes.

As part of the leadership team and reporting to the Sector Executive Director, Human Resources, I was primarily responsible for human resources service delivery to ensure strategies aligned to the business; translating the Ministry, Branch and boarder HR GoA business plans to achieve solutions and results. I ensured that human resources practices and services were aligned with organizational goals and are flexible enough to respond to shifts in strategic direction and client needs. Emphasis in this position was to understand the business needs and initiating programs and services to meet those needs whilst supporting the APS “one employer” approach.

Provided advice, leadership and management in the planning, development, delivery and monitoring of human resource programs and practices to a team of HR professionals and administrative support staff.
