I am a young person committed to leading and advocating for positive social change. I value empowerment, openness to change, practicability and learning in the pursuit of my goals. I want to continue to work and volunteer in the humanitarian sphere, innovating new ways to communicate changes to legislation, policy and rights, and supporting the growth of young people to engage critically with government and advocate unashamedly for their communities. I am driven by my lived experience as a young person, young carer and having grown up regionally and within the metropolitan of Victoria. I am all too aware of the failure of complacency in acting on issues such as the climate emergency, improvements needed to the NDIS and working alongside Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities to recognise first sovereignty. I have rich experience working and volunteering within a range of teams with all Victorian communities. I also use my studies in culture and history to critically connect with movements for positive social change that are happening today.
