Transactions include the direct real estate investments of 23 student housing and multi-family assets in the United States, and the acquisition of Oakwood Worldwide (corporate housing operating platform). • Portfolio/Fund Management: Provided diligence support and prepared the data room for the syndication of a closed-end student housing fund (AUM $1.4bn; $535mil of equity raised between Nov 2016 and Mar 2017). • Asset Management: Achieved 4.6% ($33mil) valuation gain in March 2017 for portfolio of student housing assets (12 assets; 8,300 beds) under stewardship. • Business Development and Strategy: Part of two-man delegation dispatched to student housing conferences for deal sourcing and relationship building; prepared student housing strategy discussions decks for senior management.
