I worked closely with these employees to train and develop them into a team that safely produced quality products at a rather high rate. I also worked closely with the Area Manager, Engineering Manager and Quality Manager to develop quality products for a our customers. I assumed this role at a difficult time for the company just a few months after I took this role the company had announced it was planning to move the entire factory to Mexico over the course of a few years. Successes Included keeping employees engaged and making a quality product with the news of the company moving in the near future, increasing production by 20%, reducing absenteeism by 40% to 50%, and reducing first year warranty claims by 30%. Also was part of launching a new product line that we were able to ramp up to 100% faster than any other launch and begin making the product at the target numbers in record time.

I done everything from operating automatic and manual sheet metal presses, driving forklift or tugger to deliver materials, and any other production associate tasks where I was needed on a daily basis. I assumed this role in 2007 and stayed over the course of 8 years. During this time I learned almost every job in the entire factory and also learned about the overall operation. I worked in every department in the entire factory and learned many different skills along the way.

I worked with my supervisors to ensure customers received the orders in a timely manner as well as received the correct orders. I joined the company at exciting time when I soon learned the company was in the process of moving operations from their fully manual operations on the westside of Indianapolis, Indiana to a new innovative state of the art facility In Lawerance, Indiana. Successes included helping make the transition to the new facility and help get the machines as the operation running smoothly with the new innovated equipment and processes.

Dock Supervisor Central Transport Private Company; 10 - 5,000 employees; CT,Inc; LTL Trucking Industry I was accountable for managing the night shift activity center (A.C.) operations. I managed the dock operations as well as the LTL operations during the off shift. My responsibilities were to ensure freight was transferred to the correct trailers in a time manner, moved without being damaged and ensure the trailers were ready at the target cut time to ensure on time delivery. I worked closely with the Dock Manager to ensure we accomplished our goals and exceeded customers expectations. I assumed this role at a time of transition for the terminal when the operations and the facility as a whole was going through a complete overhaul. I was able to help implement changes to the operations and still ensure timely delivery to the customers while also doing new construction on the facility at the same time.
