Since I graduated as an Engineer from Copenhagen University College of Engineering, I have primarily been involved in product development and thus have a broad experience within: • Working in a multi discipline R&D environment that is truly product driven. • Concept and idea development of new products in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. • Industrial design and product branding. • Providing input to business plans and project plans incl. reporting. • Development of show models and functional models. • Detailed construction and documentation of mechanical parts in plastic, rubber and metal. • Design and specification of production tools for die casting, injection molding, compression molding, extrusion etc. • Collaboration with suppliers during tooling & DFM process and running production, primarily in Asia. • Test and validation against product requirements and regulatory demands. • Design reviews. • Production hand-over: BOMs, assembly instructions, ECOs, test specifications etc. • Supplier selection - especially in low-wage areas in Asia. • Mechanical support in connection to running production with reference to the Product Care department. My core competency is my broad knowledge of product development in general. I have a good understanding and experience with development projects that take place in the field of tension between hardware, software and mechanics. The close collaboration with PCB designers is just one example of this. I take pride in delivering to promise, but more importantly to be part of a team where knowledge sharing and exchange of ideas are a natural part of the performance culture.
