Excellent workplace environment. I’m learning Tableau and Power BI while using powerful Excel builds (with Oracle front end) to serve engineering and R&D during the transition from static to dynamic dashboards.

Elite Comfort Solutions LLC (ECS) produces foam bedding products including mattresses, pillows and toppers for many retail companies including Sleep Number, Serta Simmons Bedding, and many others. My most significant contribution while at ECS was creating the software and procedures necessary to transition from paper to digital tracking of factory performance. I then took these building blocks and developed a real time feedback system for several quality parameters to help minimize scrap by illuminating areas to focus improvement efforts. The combined effort reduced scrap at one factory from 15% down to less than 2% over a period of 6 months.

I invented, developed and sold cost-effective solutions for the end user. The primary product focus was the GSS GoKart - a Modular Video Suspension System. During this effort I learned more about product development, completing a patent, investing and marketing. I also improved many skills including CNC machining, CAD, radio signals and propagation, RFI, building communication networks and designing and building remote controlled systems. I also spent many hours on video editing and website development. I used iMovie, GoPro Studio, Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, and PrestaShop as well as many other business tools including Paypal, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

* Ramp Process Engineer 2011 * 2016 I improved maintenance methods using Lean techniques and living document systems. SPC, SQL and SAS were tools I used daily for process control and monitoring. My key strengths noted in my yearly reviews include a willingness to help the team, owning problems to completion, and developing robust systems to manage recurring problems. -Transfer Team Lead 2009 * 2011 I completed process transfers in the United States, Ireland and China to complete the F68 300mm Greenfield startup in Dalian, China. -Tool owner * 2004 * 2008 I assumed ownership of a wet bench tool set 3 months after starting. I became a process and defect expert and trainer in the 5 tool sets in the back end Etch area over the next 4 years.

My research at UNC Chapel Hill was investigating catalysis mechanisms - specifically by creating small ligand transformations on Tungsten organometallic molecules stabilized by the Tp' ligand. One of my key achievements was isolation of an unstable metal-triple bond-carbon-oxygen-methyl ligand. The properties I discovered and published about this ligand may help other researchers predict the mechanisms by which catalysts add functional groups to petroleum distillates and thereby create more efficient use of our limited natural resources.
