About

I take "You're not like other HR people I've worked with" as the highest compliment. For me, HR is a business function first—but it’s powered by people. A great people strategy doesn’t just drive revenue and market share—it creates an environment where employees thrive, contribute, and feel valued. I believe that when employees are supported, engaged, and cared for, the business succeeds. That’s the philosophy that has shaped my career. In 2026, I was honored to be recognized as the #1 Human Resources Professional of the Year by OnConferences, based on peer and community voting, reflecting my work in driving business performance through people and scaling high-growth organizations. My Approach: 📌 I put business first, HR second—while always prioritizing people. I understand margins, growth targets, and competitive threats, but I also know that business success starts with engaged, motivated employees. 📌 I turn data into business results that improve both performance and well-being. A 20% turnover spike isn’t just lost revenue—it’s lost trust, engagement, and institutional knowledge. 📌 I eliminate policies that slow business down and create friction for employees. I’ve reduced 45-day hiring cycles to 15, removed bureaucracy, and built HR systems that empower, not restrict. 📌 I leverage AI and technology—but never at the expense of the human experience. I equip leaders and employees with better tools, not replace human connection. 📌 I make culture real by embedding it into how people are rewarded and supported. Values should be reflected in compensation, promotions, benefits, and leadership behaviors. 🚀 At my core, I am a business leader specializing in human capital—helping companies scale, evolve, and succeed through people strategies. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a master’s in Human Resources, along with SHRM-CP certification. I am a former Forbes Human Resources Council Member and a Compensation Collective Member at Payscale. With 20+ years of experience in technology startups & large organizations, I specialize in building HR functions, total rewards strategy, scaling high-growth organizations, and change management. Core Competencies: Total Rewards | Benefits | Compensation | Culture Building | HR Strategy | Change Management | Business Acumen | Organizational Development | Talent & Retention | Employee Engagement | Performance Evaluations | Compliance | Executive Leadership | HRIS | Workforce Planning | Leadership Development

1health is a health technology SaaS startup. Sought out to be the first human resources leader reporting directly to the CEO as a member of the executive leadership team while the company was in hyper-growth with pending series B funding, its second large acquisition, and future IPO. Selected Achievements ▪ Revamped the recruiting strategy by bringing in multiple external recruiting agencies short-term while building an internal recruiting team simultaneously to achieve the aggressive goal to triple in size in 90 days. This strategy reduced a $12k cost per hire to $3k and a total savings of almost $2M. ▪ Spearheaded the company's first company-wide and departmental strategic plan. Partnered with each department head to leverage the plan to develop individual KPIs for each position that was later utilized in the performance appraisal process developed. ▪ Sourced and obtained credible market compensation data. This was used to benchmark each position, develop a market-based compensation structure for a remote workforce that was nationally and internationally distributed, make informed market competitive job offers, and assess the current workforce’s compensation against the market to adjust compensation where needed and ensure retention. ▪ Implemented an employee stock option plan (ESOP) and successfully educated employees on equity compensation, increasing participation and engagement. ▪ Brought the company to compliance on the use of contractors by converting thirty-five contractors to employees leveraging an employer of record (EOR.) This achieved a one-team culture, increased data security, increased the recruiting pipeline, and increased our international offer acceptance rate.
