Full time - Neuro ICU

Provide in home care to a quadriplegic. Assistance with bedtime care, provide transportation to and from appointments, and light house clean up.

I visit patients in nursing homes and group homes that do not have family or regular visitors. We talk, play board games, go for walks, and watch TV. I also work at the front desk, file medical records, and triage calls coming into the front desk.

Analyzing and researching health and disease process through full body dissections of body donors. We often compared the cause of death to the donor's internal anatomy and physiology.

Keep the families in the Barrow Neurological waiting room updated with information provided by doctors and nurses in the operating room and post op. Communicate with the nurses in the PACU to coordinate family visits and update patient status. Provide volunteer training for new volunteers wanting to work in the waiting room.

Medical surgical/ adult health, pediatric, obstetric, psychiatric, geriatric, & community rotations completed.
