What have I been doing since November 2012? In late 2012 my wife and I decided to make some significant changes in our family life; we decided to focus on her career goals and I elected to become a "Mr. Mom" putting my career on hold temporarily. It has been a true blessing being able to focus my time on my family and friends. Over the past eight years I have volunteered my time and resources nearly every week to help a three-time stroke survivor rehabilitate himself and we have cultivated a great friendship through our time together. I have also volunteered in a number of school classrooms including activities and field trips, building great bonds with my kids and other families. I have volunteered with fast-pitch softball clubs, fundraising events, meals of love through our church, and playing the saxophone in the community college jazz band and smaller groups for various functions. While I have enjoyed my time in all of these areas it's time to go back to work and I am eager and ready to do so.
