Manage information technology and computer systems. Plan, organise, activate, control, and evaluate the operations of information systems. Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development Meet with Managers/Directors to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines Develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems Manage the computer systems budgets and expenditures Ensure systems, infrastructure and associated processes protect the organisation from potential data or security breaches. Proactive in establishing a supporting IT infrastructure that supports the moving needs of the business and the individuals within it.

Monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting Servers and Storage Infrastructure, Email, Network and Fortinet Firewalls (various tools are used including Brocade Network Advisor, MSCOM and Exchange Management Console). Diagnosing user account problems within Active Directory including Security Groups, Group Policy Objects. Keeping all Services, Policies and Processes up to date as and when needed. 

Diagnosing faults and offering solutions to users on and off site from calls passed through from the Service Desk and Infrastructure Support Teams. Perform System upgrades and account administration. Help maintain the ICT SharePoint site which includes creating and reviewing the Desktop procedures to comply with ITIL standards.    

Responsible for building PCs, supporting desktop software and hardware issues and supporting Active Directory and Exchange 2003 servers, printer and peripheral setups, network patching (Fibre and Copper), Daily Backups using Unix Systems (Sun StorEdge EBS), Basic configuration of routers and network monitoring using HP Openview. 

Managing temporary staff, making sure that all team leaders and managers are happy with the temps and the jobs they are doing. Recruiting new people as and when they are needed, interviewing new candidates. Dealing with any pay issues, hours worked etc. Making sure the Temporary worker and Company are happy. 

Answering MS Office support calls from various companies who hold a support contract with EEL. Producing presentations on PowerPoint to be used for training days and design new layouts for training promotions, brochures, fax shots. Produce various diagrams with Microsoft Visio. Technical Team Sales Administration, Keeping the Technical Calendar up to date. Processing and Authorising Sales Orders and assisting with the equipment specification, making sure that every job has all equipment needed to be complete in the best way possible.
