For the first two months of my internship I shadowed post docs and scientists in the Omics and SLIM groups at Pacific Northwest National Lab under the direction of Dr. Richard Smith, Dr. Erin Baker, and Dr. Yehia Ibrahim learning about SLIM technology, how to operate the SLIM instruments, and what applications are best suited for SLIM devices. For the last month of my internship I relocated to the MOBILion facility in Exton, PA where I worked with the CEO of the company, Dr. Melissa Sherman, as well as the rest of the MOBILion team to move forward with the commercialization of the SLIM technology.

I worked in the Biochemistry and Proteomics lab at Clarkson under the direction of Dr. Costel Darie. My goal was to discover a protein biomarker signature that can be used as a diagnostic tool for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using SDS-PAGE, in-gel and in-solution digestions, nano-LC-MS/MS, and Mascot server database along with Scaffold software for data analysis.
