As Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, I was tasked with creating comprehensive KPI analyses, financial models, forecasts, and quarterly Board reports that guide and inform the executive decision-making process. I assembled, trained, and led a team of 7 direct reports, partnering with team members and PMO, HR, Controllership, and Operations teams to drive progress toward strategic goals. Some of my additional contributions include: ➥ Routinely reviewed and approved KPIs; developed monthly financial reports, including headcount analysis, and disseminated to the CFO. ➥ Ensured all required Board materials were readily available for quarterly reporting purposes. ➥ Collaborated with the PMO to provide select Board deck material for the CEO. ➥ Routinely identified cost reduction or avoidance opportunities at all levels of the organization. ➥ Worked closely with the CFO to develop and launch a corporate scorecard for performance tracking purposes. ➥ Conducted a monthly/annual forecasting exercise to provide the CFO with a strategic framework and baseline for key metrics, including: hedge, benefits, and facility allocations.

As Senior Director of Variable Compensation, I led a team of 5 direct reports to develop and scale variable compensation plans for global teams. Here are some of the ways I’ve made positive contributions to business performance: ➥ Mitigated the costs associated with plan administration by negotiating with and transitioning to a lower cost solutions provider. ➥ Reduced compensation plan approval times by improving the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of reporting processes. ➥ Led the 2019 plan rollover initiative; conducted executive performance plan presentations, established go-forward objectives, performed financial modelling, and programmed the calculation tool. ➥ Conducted monthly, quarterly, and annual plan analyses to measure progress toward goals. ➥ Managed key stock compensation operations, including: grants, exercises, and ESPP. ➥ Integrated an equity compensation tool to provide employees with a consolidated information resource. ➥ Established a robust internal control infrastructure governing all variable compensation procedures. ➥ Developed a simplified, standardized, and unified integration approach to facilitate future mergers and acquisitions.

I joined OpenText in 2012, where I managed the accounts payable function across 3 continents. I directed a 40-person team to manage all expense reporting, third-party royalty reporting/payment, invoice processing, reconciliation, variance analysis, and payment operations. Some of my key contributions include: ➥ Managed cash forecasting and Days Payable Outstanding calculations to identify deviations from expected performance. ➥ Implemented and launched a new expense reporting system globally; trained stakeholders on the new system. ➥ Maintained and monitored internal controls governing accounts payable and key financial procedures. ➥ Established financial reports to measure risk exposure, identify improvement opportunities, and inform the growth strategy. ➥ Designed multi-year roadmaps to drive progress toward mission-critical goals. ➥ Established an independent team in Manilla, Philippines to support accounts payable operations and control costs.

I joined Angstrom Engineering in 2006, where I oversaw accounting and financial activities; I developed financial reports for Presidential review, maintained a system of accounting controls, mitigated operating risk, negotiated lines of credit and vendor agreements, and ensured the organization’s financial health. I also reorganized financial operations to facilitate the creation of a holding company and oversaw all letter of credit facilities, including: policies, pricing, applications, amendments, discrepancies, payments, and document release. Some of my additional contributions include: ➥ Negotiated $5MM+ in funding to drive expansion operations. Protected the organization against currency fluctuations. ➥ Increased accounting transparency and improved P&L performance. ➥ Achieved successful audit results every year. ➥ Positioned the firm optimally for a successful valuation and profitable sale.
