Provide crop management advice and trouble shooting for area growers in commercial nursery production. Responsible for supervisory and administrative work as county coordinator for The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension in Floyd County, Georgia. Primary responsibilities include providing leadership for and coordination in the efforts of the county Extension staff in developing an effective total county educational program which meets the needs of the citizens of the county and complies with the policies and objectives of the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension. Responsible for preparation and management of operations budget. Develop programs and materials for local outreach, marketing, and advocacy. Work also involves assigned duties of the County Agriculture Extension Agent. Primary agricultural responsibilities are to provide crop management advice and trouble shooting for growers.
