Hey, I’m Keira. I am also founder and voice of mēlu, an ethical movement towards fair-labour living so that people have the freedom to flourish. I have a passion to see a world free of slavery, unfair labour and human trafficking, a world where people are no longer bound by the injustice of these industries and can live with fullness, dignity and hope. I truly believe that every decision we make, professional and personal, makes an incredible impact on someone or something somewhere, and I want to empower people to realise that potential and drive it for good. I want to work in a sector that directly influences the global community, which is why I am enrolled at the University of Newcastle to undertake a B Development Studies / B Social Science. Though I have only just started my degree, I’m surrounding myself with inspiring and likeminded people who believe that we all have the potential to change the world.
