Keeran Daub

I am a current student at Carleton University who will be graduating in Fall 2022 with a Bachelor of English. I am also a graduate of the Heritage College Liberal Arts program and got on the honour roll in 2018. I have written and edited hundreds of thousands of words worth of material for essays and assignments. I have written many short stories and creative writing pieces, some of which won awards in the First Edition, a collection of creative pieces written by students at Heritage College. I am an expert at noticing problem sentences and refining them into the version that best conveys their intended meaning. I have been passionate about storytelling from an early age when I spent most of my time ransacking every library in my area for new books to read. When I discovered the art of storytelling I started to enjoy media in an entirely new way, and to this day if I am not creating stories I am picking them apart and finding out what makes them tick so that I can tell better, more enjoyable stories. People often describe me as pleasant and easy to get along with. I love meeting new people and being inspired by their passions. I also love collaborating on projects with people like I did in my creative writing workshops at Carleton. I have finished my studies and am simply waiting to graduate in the Fall. I am currently looking to pursue a career in editing or writing in the Ottawa area, especially writing for the Film industry.
