While studying at the University of Victoria, I worked in the alumni donations call centre as a student sales representative where I assisted in generating funds integral to the financial sustainability of important student bursaries and awards. Although brief, this incredible opportunity bolstered my communication skills, allowed me to to assess my own weaknesses as a salesperson, and most importantly enhanced my over all confidence negotiating deals.

As a tax accountant at Smythe LLP I analyzed vastly differing tax situation in order to provide clients with tax plans that would ultimately allow for a greater utilization of their financial assets. I learned to more efficiently assess financial data, and with greater confidence. Most importantly though, I developed my ability to systematically analyze ambiguous situations, which has noticeably allowed me to conceptualize complex information with increased speed and accuracy.

As a strategy analyst at the BC Public Service Agency I worked to identify the risks associated with vacant succession priority positions across the BC Public Service. I carefully analyzed employee data from across the province in order to help identify priority positions which could inevitably become vacant due to either retirement, exit, or lateral transition. My research was used congruently with the BCPSA's BI software in order to develop ministry specific reports which were subsequently used in increasing province wide transparency regarding best practises in identifying, developing and retaining high-potential and high-performance employees.
