Group Leader & PI @ Self Employed
About
Ke is a professional drug discovery and radio-medicinal scientist who is passionate about translating small molecules or peptides to radio-therapy for disease therapy and has consistently produced results in the laboratories of universities and biopharmaceutical companies. 3 years CRO in medicinal chemistry, 10 years research experience, and 5+ years postdoctoral experience in pharmaceutical chemistry including synthetic organic chemistry, structure-based drug or drug delivery system design, pet-ct, spect-ct imaging, and rdc drug design. His background spans the areas of radiology, medicinal chemistry, drug delivery, molecular imaging, nanomedicine, and cancer biology and I have strong aspirations to translate RDC drugs to the next generation of differentiated medicines. Briefly, Ke obtained PhD degree in Germany in the field of bioorganic chemistry. Then he moved to Singapore for one year of drug delivery as a research fellow. After that Ke came back to Switzerland for another year of radio-medicinal chemistry investigation until 2016 he furthered his research at Stanford University, CA. Skilled in radiology, medicinal chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, molecular imaging, Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), Spectroscopy, UV/Vis Spectroscopy, Biotechnology, image tools, and Cell Culture. Strong research professional with a Postdoctoral researcher focused in the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Stanford University.

Experience

Group Leader & PI
Nanjing, Jiangsu, China
Ke worked as the group leader/PI to develop Innovative radioligand drug delivery platform technology to address unmet clinical needs and accelerate the discovery, development, and clinical use of radiopharmaceuticals. We are trying to utilize science to solve clinical needs, allowing patients and their families to live a wonderful life with us

Postdoctoral Researcher
Lucas Richard Center for imaging
I moved to Stanford University to further my research from Switzerland. Here, I am working on imaging probes development for tumor diagnosis, including PET, MRI and fluorescent probes. The major work here is to develop an intra-celluar activated nano platform for their preclinical imaging applications.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Bern Area, Switzerland
The work in Switzerland focused on two parts: one is about synthesis, modification and evaluation of glutamate transporter inhibitors; secondly is about fluorescence labelling of ATP derivatives for protein dynamic investigation and for drug affinity study with the help of single molecular microscopy. We first obtained fluorescent agonist against xx protein. The results are collected and will submit for publish soon.

Research Scientist
Singapore
In Singapore, I worked in a Structural Biology group, where focused on water transporter investigation. My job is to screen small molecule and modify lead compounds to get "promising" drug for their use in water transporter inhibition. In the mean time, I worked on organocatalysis in the group of Prof. Dr. Robin Chi for NHC catalysis investigation, there, I studied a lot of knowledge in the field of catalytic methodology and hope to translate these into biological study, as the first NHC catalyst was found in the biological system.

PHD Researcher
Bremen Area, Germany
I finished my master study in China, then I moved to University of Bremen, Germany, which is one of the seven elite universities in Germany. In Germany, I researched on Boron Neutron Capture Therapy for cancer and also focused on lipidation of iron sulphur cluster for their use in enzyme catalysis. Simply speaking, what I did there is to specific deliver boron cluster to tumor sites for thereafter radiation therapy and also to synthesise and modify lead compounds for BBB penetration study.
Education

Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry
In Germany, I started my research career in the field of medicinal chemistry. Here, I first focused on total synthesis lipidation of iron sulfur protein for abiogenesis study and their application in bio-energy catalysis. Then I moved to investigate cancer therapy using boron-containing compounds, which holds potentials for cancer therapy through versatile therapeutic mechanism.
