human resources assistant
university of central lancashire
I assisted the HR advisors with their general administration, whilst managing the general administration for the HR office. This meant I was first point of contact for any customers via a number of methods; face to face, email, telephone, fax and post. It was a very fast paced job in which I undertook a number of responsibilities such as posting new jobs to the websites, collecting applicant data, arranging interview and the follow up steps for the successful and unsuccessful candidates. I also worked on a new project designed to make the recruitment process easier, and less stress inducing for those managing my position once I had left. The position was originally a temporary contract which was quickly amended by my managers to allow them to keep me in the company for as long as possible, before I started my final year at university.
