About
During my time at Brigham Young University pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Molecular Biology, I was very active in my campus community and accomplished much, including but not limited to: -being awarded the BYU President's Leadership Council Scholarship and various univeristy academic awards, -co-founding the Pre-Genetic Counseling Club as vice-president and liason for genetic counseling graduate programs across North America, as well as vice-president for BYU's chapter of the Black Student Union, -researching the efficacy of using bacteriophages clinically as an alternative solution for antibiotic resistance with Dr. Julianne Grose as mentor, presenting findings at the American Society for Virology in Montreal, as well as working on multiple personal projects and co-authoring three published works as an undergraduate, -volunteering with my church's service committee to bring joy and love for those associated with the autistic community across Utah and Salt Lake Counties, and -participating in multiple cultural celebrations of diverse backgrounds, specifically the Polynesian, Latino, and African diasporas within the student body of Brigham Young University. I am deeply grateful for all the help and support I have been given thus far. I am excited for this new chapter in life that includes preparations for graduate school, expanding community involvement, and utilizing the experience gained during college for future employment opportunities.
