Providing intensive behavioral and educational services to children. Increasing skills development, behavior management and physical development activities. Participating in the development of service plans with faculty, family, and other professionals. Providing support in a safe environment, utilizing approved behavior management techniques and instructional techniques. Teaching skills in the areas of academics, daily living, self-help, toileting, communication, recreation and leisure, and community living. Preparing instructional materials (scripts, flash cards, stories, etc.).

Providing rehabilitative supportive services to persons with severe and prolonged mental illness that include: problem solving and decision making; supportive counseling; outreach; ADL skills training; family support; coordination/advocacy for services; education; medication administration; and crisis support. Limited case management services Assisting individuals in obtaining the support, skills and rehabilitative services necessary to improve their level of functioning within their communities and to decrease the need for hospitalization.

At MRMS I was responsible for meeting with patients to meet counselor requirements by reviewing case histories and scheduling ground counseling appointments. I met with phase 1 patients and utilized an approved format to conduct a required weekly check in. In addition, I observed counseling groups, intakes and individual counseling sessions. Lastly, I planned and delivered numerous groups in the various areas of addiction and rehabilitative services.
