Implement and maintain the content of the quality management system by formulating and changing quality policy when necessary. Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and thorough documentation for laboratory equipment including GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and LC-MS systems complying with regulating bodies. Proficient in analysis on Chemstation, Analyst, and Environmental Data Analysis software. Consult with clients on understanding test results, problem solving their processes, and complying with CRA regulations. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed. Order and maintain stock of consumables used through various departments. Investigate complaints and document them in a Complaint Tracking Log.

Lead project to automate manual extraction methods and prepared project proposal for management. Completed price comparison analysis on various instruments for automation project. Completed regular production work on EPA methods 608 and 625 in an ISO 17025 accredited operation. This included preparing a variety of forms of waste water for a liquid-liquid extraction analyzed on an HPLC. Followed and maintained GLP (good laboratory practices). Utilized analytical techniques and equipment such as daily calibrated balances, separatory funnels, micro syringes, and volumetric glassware. Trained in verifying data before being entered into an internal LIMS.

Completed undergraduate research thesis in the comparison of various solvent micro-extraction procedures for sample preparation for the determination of organochlorine pesticides in water.
