Registered Nurse since February of 2009. Became a Coach/ Nurse Manager for the Inpatient Services unit at Monroe Clinic in May 2011. Obtained Master's of Science in Nursing degree with a Health Care Administration Focus in August 2013. Master's Practicum project included developing a Patient Safety Track for Monroe Clinic's Nursing Professional Development Program. Became a member of the American Society of Professionals in Patient Safty in June 2013, completed the National Patient Safety Foundation's Online Patient Safety Curriculum in July 2013, and obtained National Certification as a Certified Professional in Patient Safety in December 2014. Active Chair of Monroe Clinic's Safe Medication Task Force and member of other organization- wide safety committees. Transitioned to a coaching position over two branch site clinics in December of 2015. Additional training in Lean Fundamentals for process improvements.
