I am the lead coach for the speech branch of Bear Creek's speech and debate team. For the past five years the team has won second place at state and I've helped coach multiple students to state finals.

For the past three summers I have taught a class entitled Speech & Rhetoric. I designed a curriculum for a week long camp to help assist middle and high school students in the development of public speaking skills.

I was elected to serve on the Alumni Leadership Committee of my alma mater. For the past three years I have helped to plan and execute alumni focused events including fundraising and reunions. I have also engaged in monthly meetings to discuss alumni involvement with the community.

As a Fellow, I specialized in helping the Admissions Office with social media and technology. During this year I helped to maintain Davidson Admissions' active presence on Twitter and Instagram as well as helped to select the best entries for the Google Maps project. I also filmed short video clips of seniors for an Instagram series called "My Davidson Moment." Besides working with social media and technology, I gave individual information sessions to prospective students and families.

As the copy editor for Exit 30, I am the mediator between the magazine and contributing artists. I help to organize meetings to review issue submissions and hold writing workshops open to all contributors.

As Editor In Chief of Her Campus at Davidson I am in charge of running weekly meetings for staff and editors as well as help to write and edit every article for the website. I also interact weekly with representatives from the national Her Campus organization. For the past two years, Her Campus at Davidson has been awarded Pink Level status which places us in the top 20% of chapters worldwide for content, readership, and campus involvement.

I served as Vice President to the oldest society at Davidson: the Philanthropic Literary Society. As VP I participated in weekly meetings and helped plan events on campus.

Last summer I shadowed a psychologist at Broughton Mental Hospital. During the program I interacted with patients, conducted a case study on a specific patient, and learned about the operations of a state mental hospital.

For the past year I have dedicated five hours per week to scoring neuropsychological assessments of older adults for Dr. Kristi Multhaup's Cognitive Aging Laboratory. Before I began scoring I gained certification for running human subjects and research ethics.

For the past three years I led weekly college tours around campus for families and prospective students.

I work with prospective families (grades 5 and above) as they explore a classical Christian education at Bear Creek.

Spent a summer with my peers from Davidson studying English and history at Cambridge.

Spent the summer in Cadiz, Spain studying Spanish and art history with my peers from Davidson College.

During high school I competed in multiple Speech and Debate events including Impromptu, Duo Interpretation, Oratory, Student Congress, and Dramatic Interpretation. My senior year I was awarded the position of team captain. In 2013 I won the state tournament in Impromptu speaking. I also participated heavily in music as a flute player and singer.
