Managed a piece of research and development to look into the viability of establishing a long-term artist residency at Lydney Park Estate. My work involved: researching residency models and potential funding avenues, analysing information in relation to the context of Lydney and establishing an early framework for the business plan.

Worked with the small team to support the delivery of a month of exhibitions, talks, performances, screenings and debates on the topic of protest. My work involved: online editor for educational resources and a series of online articles exploring themes of protest as well as developing and planning a series of public talks and discussion involving contributions from Peter Kennard, Noel Douglas and activists from the Greenham Common Peace Camp.

Project managed the final stages of Melanie Jackson’s artist residency on behalf of Field Art Projects for The University of Bristol’s Stoke Bishop Public Art Programme. The NEXUS is an artist’s comic/publication Melanie Jackson developed during her residency. The publication continued the artist’s interest and exploration of the giant vegetable phenomenon and the launch event, which took place on Halloween, staged the first UK giant pumpkin drop from the height of a crane. My work involved: bringing together the creative programme for the day (children’s workshops, tours of the botanic gardens, film screening and giant pumpkin drop), booking and liaising with external contractors, producing health and safety documents and supporting the site management on the day of the event.

Working for seven years I held an integral position within the small organisation, my position spanned studio management, organisational development and commissioning. During my time I contributed to the commissioning of a series of ground breaking public artworks including: I lost her by Fantasy Island. Life has not been the same, 2006, The Black Cloud, 2009 both by Heather & Ivan Morison and Nowhereisland, 2012 by Alex Hartley.

Working with Bristol’s Public Art Officer we developed Art and the Public Realm Website, which now documents public art across the city. My worked included: developing the creative design brief, assisting the process of selecting a creative agency, pulling together and editing all information on the public artworks and populating the finished site with text and visual content.

I supported the Director of A Space Arts to raise £475k towards the development of a new arts venue in central Southampton due to open in Spring 2016. The development will involve converting a 700-year-old Grade II Listed Scheduled Ancient Monument called Gods House Tower, once an integral military tower in the city’s medieval defenses. My work included: liaising and writing capital applications to: Arts Council South West for £100K, Folye Foundation for £100k, Wolfson Foundation for £100k and Esmee Fairbairn for £117k amongst others.

Led the delivery of Round 2 of the Talent Development Programme, which was initiated to support artists and provide them with bespoke professional development. My work involved: planning and administering the application selection process, creating and delivering individual and group development sessions, supporting individual candidates to develop and deliver their proposals, monitoring and preparing the final evaluation report.
