Kathryn Kretschmer-Weyland is the Chief Operating Officer of U.S. Mayor Enterprises (USME), the arm of the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) responsible for managing and growing relationships with private sector partners that offer useful strategic and tactical services to America's cities. Through Kathryn’s guidance, USME has a unique marketing relationship with its Platinum Partners that encompass a variety of industries and specialties. She is an expert at building targeted programs and relationships that work for and with cities’ seizing on a myriad of opportunities for both the partners she represents and the cities she serves. Kathryn has B.A. in Sociology from Wheeling Jesuit University.

Kathryn has been with USCM since 1976, holding numerous leadership roles over her career. In addition to her leadership in human resources and employee assistance programs and membership services, she served as the USCM Assistant Executive Director for International Affairs. Prior to her current position as Chief Operating Officer of USME, she served as the chief administrative officer to Tom Cochran, the CEO and Executive Director of USCM.

Kathryn has headed USME for the past 13 years, helping Mr. Tom Cochran and the USME Board of Directors increase the number and quality of Platinum Partners, and continues to build the organization into an important core component of what the Conference brings to America's cities. She serves as the senior management representative to the USCM Finance and Audit and Executive Committees. She has been instrumental in building, and now revolutionizing, the USCM Deferred Compensation Program.
