In this role, I support the EcoReg team in preparing regulatory advice and ecological supporting studies to assist proponents in navigating Canadian environmental regulation.

In this role, I cared for fish and aquatic invertebrates to provide seasonal relief for lab staff and students. My role involved preparing and following standardized care protocols, including feeding, water chemistry monitoring, and tank maintenance.

In this position, I represent members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community through work within the union's equity committee. This position involves meeting with the broader equity committee and spearheading inter-organizational relationships with other relevant interest groups on campus and in the broader Guelph community.

As the elected Vice President Internal at Guelph's largest union, I coordinated internal union affairs including preparing and distributing a monthly newsletter, running the union's social media accounts, and hosting several events for the membership. I also sat on several committees within the union, including the finance committee which manages the union's budget and benefits distribution. I was a key point of contact for union members looking for assistance with workplace concerns, and I led several key social media campaigns that achieved unprecedented member engagement.

I was elected to this position to represent the teaching assistants at the University of Guelph (Unit 1) in union matters. This involved extensive communications with the membership and executive committees, as well as supporting bargaining work through participation on the bargaining committee ultimately achieving a new collective agreement. In addition, I supported members through the grievance process and provided a safe space for members to discuss their concerns related to health, safety, discrimination, and harassment in the workplace.

In this role, I served as a liaison between CUPE 3913 members in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph. I contributed to orientations for new students, as well as supporting several events for the membership.

Aquatic ecologist working on regulatory advice, ecological supporting studies, restoration, and technical reviews for the protection of the environment and Indigenous Rights. Collaborating on research and work that translates science to be useful to Indigenous communities, and integrates Indigenous knowledge into traditional western ecological approaches.
