BLISS stands for 'Building Lessons in Sexual Health Stories' - powered by Indigo Girls Group. This project is centered around research for an alternative healthy sexual learning space for the girls in the city of Kingston community. Responsible to oversee and develop the BLISS Marketing and Social Media strategy. Coordinate and liaise with the Research Assistant on analysis and results of the research. Extensive use of the Microsoft and ADOBE Suite of tools was required to complete duties.

Responsible for instructing group and private swimming lessons to preschool children. Certified and accountable for carrying out all emergency procedures when required.

Sole instructor responsible for teaching lifesaving courses to 150 swimmers over a 9-week period. Member of 5 person team responsible for supervision of waterfront in compliance with OCA standards with 1500 campers in 2019.

Responsible for 24-hour supervision and engagement of eight 9-year-old girls for 3 separate camp sessions over a 9-week period. Created and lead daily programs for campers helping to build outdoor skills and self-confidence.

Responsible for oversight and execution of the social media strategy. Planned and delivered a customer Open House which attracted over 75 guests. Provided administrative support to 7-person team including preparation of marketing materials, health and safety materials and general office inventory.

IGG Kingston offers multiple programming options for self-identifying girls from grades 5-8 and 9-12. Our programming involves conducting workshops and activities to support the girls in their growth, touching on topics such as self-love, women in STEM, privilege and passion. Our secondary initiative is our annual Empower Yourself conference which provides a full day of empowerment for self-identified high-school girls. In 2018 over 100 girls benefited from participating in workshops and hearing from female leaders.

As a branch leader I am a part of the Indigo Girls Group Leadership Team and work closely with directors to organize and run the Kingston Branch. My co-leader and I, manage the Kingston team, including hiring and facilitating weekly meetings. Alongside this we are responsible for the success of IGG Kingston's programming, such as fundraisers, girls clubs and the annual conference.
