About
Building and sustaining relationships is at the heart of who I am as a person and professional. I enjoy meeting others, hearing their stories, learning what is important to them, and then assisting them in attaining the goals they have set. This relational framework carries over to who I am as a leader. I believe that you lead from where you are, and lead by example. I enjoy working with individuals and groups around a common theme or vision. My listening skills allow me to hear what is being said and not said; to ask questions for clarification. I ensure that each person is not only invited to the table, but that each person’s voice is heard. I am committed to working with traditional and adult learners. During my years in career development, corporate training and academic advising, I have found that nothing brings me more satisfaction than building and inspiring teams and connecting employers and those searching for work. I enjoy teaching others to identify and own the skills, values and knowledge they possess and convey their brands to potential employers. I particularly enjoy facilitating students' and professionals' transition to the roles to which they aspire. I have taught in person and online for the past 14 years, and have developed competencies in course development and design, utilizing SAKAI and Brightspace as teaching platforms. I am certified in Online Pedagogy, to teach Business Etiquette and trained to interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. I look forward to meeting you and learning your story.
