Katherine Lynch

As an intern with the Legal Clinic at the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women's Center at the University of Virginia, I assist in organizing the Women's Center's free semi-monthly clinics to connect members of the Charlottesville and UVA community with local attorneys, compile referral resources, and organize special topic legal clinics. I am also responsible for communicating with volunteer attorneys, communicating with individuals seeking clinic appointments, and tracking details related to clinic schedules.

Intern with the Honorable William Miller and the Honorable Corey Klein in the Long Beach City Court, a part of the New York Unified Court System. I review legal cases, collect analytical data for legal research, and sit in for court proceedings and case hearings.

Use Point-of-Sale (POS) software, maintain exceptional customer service skills, develop an extensive understanding of food service processes

Interned with and shadowed Department of Chemistry Professor Dr. Daniel Miller Studied Grignard, Wittig, camphor, and Suzuki cross-coupling reactions, completed molecular modeling for products of reactions using Spartan Software, gained significant experience using NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy) machines and IR (infrared spectrometer) machines, performing standard lab procedures, such as pipetting, measuring, preparing chemicals, and analyzing results.
