In a total change of pace and seeking something completely different and more artistic. I joined Powerbelt, on a part time basis, a manufacturer of complete conveyor systems. My job was to manufacture custom components, which required me to use various types of tools, and tested me to think outside the box. We assembled these systems for delivery all over the world. This was a fun experience and it felt very much like playing with a meccano set.

This was a temporary position for a maternity leave, that I acquired through an agency. My job functions included A/P and A/R to begin with and expanded to cheese buyer and executive assistant to the president of the company. While at Silani I began the process of getting Silani streamlined with UPC bar coding practices that were coming online at that time.

Always seeking adventure and a fun place to live. I moved to this beautiful hobby farm in the hills of King City. The farm is owned by a dentist and her husband. The farm of 10 acres had an assortment of farm animals including, a steer, an incredible donkey, two pot bellied pigs, two goats, three sheep, three ducks and various chickens and turkeys. This was an introduction to farm life and one that I found incredibly rewarding. My job was for the total care of the animals and property. Including care for their overall well being, purchasing supplies (food and bedding) to overall maintenance of the property, barn and paddocks.

This was a trial project, based on a contract acquired from Aviva insurance providers. I was hired with another employee, to produce and facilitate a program for the insured with Aviva to help accident victims access quickly (within 48 hrs) appropriate medical practitioners with the hope that they would attain care immediately so that they would be able to return to normal function. This program was not deemed successful by Aviva and cancelled after a short trial period. The AIM team rehired me to work directly with the in house Doctor with his practice.

My job started out as the office administrator. I took the manual accounting system and computerized it, did all invoicing, collections and A/P for the Environmental engineering firm. With my background in environmental studies I became more involved with RFP's and then Project management for our environmental training programs relating to environmental compliance for medium and large sized manufacturing facilities. We grew from a very small operation within a short period of time due to the efforts of our dynamic growing team and our owner John-David Phyper. I learned under John the importance of time management and team work. The company was purchased by Atrion International where I continued to in the role of accounting administrator until Atrion was able to fully integrate our system into theirs.

In an ever changing atmosphere of health and wellness I chose to become a homeopath. I studied a 3 year diploma with 1000 hours dedicated to patient care within the clinic at the school.
