As a part of Forrest Burdette Children's Outreach Ministries, Katherine, along with a team of other caregivers, was in charge of caring for 40+ children, aged 2-11, in an after-school education program.

Animated, composited, and helped produce the pilot for "Chalk Talk," a series of educational shorts by professor and former Disney animator John Webber. In it, our hot-headed host tries to explain the true definitions of commonly misconstrued words, but must learn to "practice what you preach" as he is continually interrupted by a pesky nuisance. No link to the final product exists yet, as the film is in its final stages of post-production.

Animated and composited for "Boots and Brewster: The Burn Aware Pair", a traditionally animated educational short film about teaching fire safety and burn awareness in the home. The film was created and produced by a hand-selected team of students from SCAD for Shriners Hospitals for Children.

As a work-study employee with the Savannah Box Office, Katherine would aid customers (ranging from individuals to organizations such as the Savannah Philharmonic and Savannah Book Festival) in planning and purchasing tickets for various shows throughout the city. The position also required her to travel in and around Savannah ticketing more high-profile events such as the Savannah Film Festival, Tybee Island Pirate Festival, and Atlanta's aTV Fest.

* Managed all screenings and events held at SCAD MoA. Oversaw technical set-up * assisted with box office operations * managed volunteers, interns, overall crowd control * ensured shows started on time and that the house got in quickly and calmly * fielded questions and complaints from guests and assisted with tear-down. Hosted VIP guests and their visitors in the Trustees and Lucas Theater green rooms during screenings and filmmaker cocktail receptions. Assisted festival directors in various tasks as needed during the week, including but not limited to training volunteers, updating the website, transporting equipment, accepting deliveries, organizing and troubleshooting concessions, and helping set other venues.
