About
I am a 24-year-old, interested heavily within the subject of media and everything that follows. I am dedicated, hardworking and always eager to try new things. Whilst I have a set goal - I am open to experiencing different sides of working within the industry to find my true niche. I just want to grow with knowledge as fast as the industry does. I have since found that more of my passions lie within journalism and the social/editorial side of media, I am also very interested in the celebrity culture/trending news. I have started developing experience within social media marketing, and the use of web analytics to develop campaigns to improve customer interaction within businesses.

waitress
the bulls head
First official part time job. Here I worked my way up, within a month of starting as just a mere 'pot wash' I showed my boss that I had the skills and determination to be a waitress. I then took on a regular weekly role, learning all aspects of the job. As it was a family-run pub and restaurant, we took on multiple roles other than expected in order to help - whether that be cleaning, ironing and washing the bed linen, serving behind the bar and on the floor, customer service, dealing with complaints and getting to know the customers that were either just eating, drinking or staying for a holiday. I loved this first job, as I was committed and new and it was the first opportunity to gain experience which I have continued to carry with me as I have grown - into further jobs. By moving further up - it allowed me to thrive to want to go further. Here I learnt how to serve A'La Carte food and the certain etiquette it took to be in this particular part of the food and serving industry.

zizzi restaurants
Furthering my skills in Hospitality I decided to make a change and try a different styled restaurant so I could experience more and learn about a different side of the same style business. I have furthered my knowledge in the running of a restaurant, as I did not just want to settle for being a waitress. Even though this isn't my field of work - I wanted to challenge myself and continue to learn and grow more. Through supervising in this restaurant, I have took on more of a professional role. - Finding new ways of improving the restaurants general intake, and interacting with a management team through monthly meetings. - Knowledge about the importance of line checks, and completing to QS and financial standards. - Working hard and motivating a team as Manager on Duty, looking to find new ways of getting them more interactive and experienced within their work environment. -Sticking within company standards to deliver to best service possible, whilst cultivating a team to ensure the same standards are ran throughout their development.

Activities and Societies: during my time at Oldbury Wells I was still discovering where I wanted to go with my life, so I took part in a few of the school productions, helped with the open evenings to recommend the school, managing the yearbook, helping organise our final year prom.
kidderminster college
media studies
During two years straight out of high school I attended Kidderminster College studying Creative Media. I had always known that media wasn't just going to be a hobby interest of mine, but it was here that I cultivated that passion and turned it into a reality for my life. Learning all the basics of Media and the industry, it allowed me to find interests within the wide variety of creative mediums to find my own personal niche and favourite, which I then went on to pursue as Film. Here I gained skills on how to; * Successfully learn pre-production, and how to manage my own projects. * Editing skills, filming techniques. * Film Analysis and how to approach different mediums. * Client to Client briefs and how to meet deadlines. * Organisational skills and how to schedule and construct myself. * Acted as a Creative Director for a college produced 'Talent Show', finding the talent and organising the entire show from start to finish and the demands it brought.
