- Investigated how the conformational states of tubulin affect the intrinsic and extrinsic regulation of microtubule dynamics in developing neurons. - Performed techniques and developed protocols for: —Tissue dissection, cryostat sectioning, mammalian cell culture, immunohistochemistry, and fixed and live sample confocal imaging to determine the how microtubules are regulated during neuronal morphogenesis and migration — Protein purification, molecular cloning, yeast and bacterial cell culture, and TIRF microscopy to identify and determine the role of an alpha-tubulin domain in regulating microtubule dynamics and tubulin conformations. - Additional experience includes flow cytometry, stem cell differentiation, and organoid culture for multiple collaborative projects. - Resulted in two first-author publications, four collaborative publications, and invitations to speak at three national conferences. - Collaborate extensively with researchers and clinicians.
