Formulation • Formulate new technologies and improvements for existing products • Test and rank various iterations of a formula for proposed specification • Interface with customers to provide new formulations for evaluation Quality Control • Perform quality control audits by testing random samples from the production line • Write quality control compliance reports based on results of testing • Track results of quality control audits over time and produce charts and metrics Material Testing and Qualification • Review supplier Technical Data Sheets and Certificate of Analysis reports • Complete qualification testing to accept raw materials from suppliers • Execute coupon testing of materials for compliance against procurement specifications • Prepare sample batches of product to create and verify formulas for full scale production Manufacturing and Factory Support • Create manufacturing process instructions for use in production • Travel to new facilities to supervise new product trials • Practiced in Chemical Hygiene and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

- Synthesized gold nanorod particles using a seed-mediated growth procedure - Characterized gold nanorod particles using UV-Vis spectroscopy, DLS, and MALLS - Analyzed scientific literature for knowledge about various growth procedures - Contributed insights and presented results at weekly lab meetings - Designed a scientific poster of my summer project and presented at a NCI poster session
