My Passion Project and Creative Outlet! With a focus on fostering a circular fashion economy, I work to upcycle old quilts and textiles into thoughtful new creations such as jackets and accessories, giving them a second life and saving them from the landfill. - Professional Engineer (P.Eng) Registered with PEO - Managing multi-million dollar geotechnical investigations, including the notable Metrolinx projects Ontario Line and Scarborough Subway Extension. - 2+ years of experience as a field supervisor, carrying out borehole investigations of varying complexities and scopes. Skills developed in the field include soil sampling, rock coring, PQ and sonic coring, strata classification and logging, environmental sampling, test pit logging, monitoring well installations and decommissions, hydro-conductivity testing, groundwater sampling and more. - Geotechnical lab experience, carrying out an array of tests including moisture contents, Atterberg testing, rock core logging, slake testing, point load (UCS) testing and more. I also am proficient in scheduling and preparing samples for advanced testing at external labs (SINTEF Suite, Swell testing, etc) - Data analysis and compilation - Factual and design report writing - Co-Lead of THRIVE Committee; organizing annual fundraisers in support of the United Way - Toronto office leader for the Golder Trust for Orphans (GTO) - Committee Member on the Toronto Developing Professional Network; organizing monthly social events for the younger-than-30 crowd at WSP. Events include book clubs, picnics, trivia, various workshops, "PechaKucha" sessions, and more.

- Registered EIT (Engineer in Training) with PEO (Professional Engineers Ontario)

- Attending lectures, marking assignments and tests, answering questions from students - Providing support and extra help when required to the professor of the course (GEOL 102: Gemstones)

- Gained experience with geotechnical characterization, core/auger logging and collecting samples, groundwater monitoring well installation, pavement evaluations, rock hazard assessments, standard penetration tests, geological mapping, rock and soil identification, and pedological surveys. - Gained experience preparing engineering design reports, creating proposals, utilizing mass balances to solve problems, coordinating field work, and succinctly communicating technical information regarding engineering laws and principles. - Successfully completed fieldwork in remote Northern Ontario communities for multiple weeks at a time. - Field work was focused in the Pavements Sector and included drilling, classifying, and recording data on site, as well as preparation, operation, and maintenance of a variety of pavement drilling equipment including coring machines and hand augers. - Worked in the office using engineering software for data entry. Gained insight into formal report writing and professional communication in a consulting role.

- Carried out a magneto-telluric geophysical survey to characterize the subsurface rock structures of the area. Work was aimed at assisting in future green advancements (carbon sequestration) for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. - Prepared, operated, and maintained a variety of geophysical equipment. Worked extended hours in all-weather conditions, both in teams and individually.

- Learned great customer service, communication skills, problem solving, and multitasking. - Became very good at thriving in a fast-paced work environment. - Gained invaluable experience in time management and working as a team. - Gained experience in preparing and serving alcoholic beverages.

-A dual degree in Geological Engineering coupled with a Bachelor of Arts in International Development. - This degree studies the interaction between economic and political systems, cultural norms, physical environments, and status differences (including gender, caste, race, religion and class). The history and contemporary nature of these interactions between and within the countries of the North and South extend to issues such as poverty, cultural imperialism, human rights, social policy, and trade relations. - Examines the complex relations between actors as diverse as the United Nations, government policy-makers, non-government organizations, social movements, unions, universities and corporations, to understand how particular notions of development are formed, institutionalized, and acted upon. - Critical reflection on the notions of freedom, democracy, and progress that inform visions of development are encouraged.

- Geological Engineering is the practical application of the principles, concepts and techniques of the geological sciences to human needs. - A Geological Engineer combines a knowledge of geological materials and earth engineering design principles to create viable and sustainable projects. - In this program, students explore the environmentally sound and sustainable extraction of mineral and energy resources from sub-surface deposits. - Students obtain a unique knowledge and understanding of the critical role geology plays in the distribution and migration of groundwater and contaminants. - Students become familiar with the application of engineering and geological principles to environmental problems. This includes the detection, prevention, and remediation of groundwater, soil and rock contamination from a wide range of sources (e.g. mining waste, oil spills), and includes engineering issues related to site selection and preparation for waste management facilities.
