I currently work closely with engineers in the research and development side, sourcing new parts and purchasing tools, while serving as the liaison between vendors and the internal team. I lead Design for Manufacturing meetings, collaborating with engineers to resolve technical issues as they arise. I continuously research alternative materials to achieve cost savings without sacrificing quality, and I am actively involved in developing new product lines. In partnership with suppliers, I ensure their capabilities align with our quality standards to maintain top-quality products. I also manage tool maintenance and replacements, ensuring that tools are replaced at the end of their lifecycle to support ongoing operations.

As a key part of the aerospace line, I was responsible for purchasing and sourcing materials while ensuring all raw materials and services adhered to customer specifications. I worked closely with vendors to ensure compliance, maintaining open communication between suppliers and internal teams. In collaboration with Quality Assurance, I addressed any issues that arose, ensuring smooth resolution and continuous communication across departments. I used AS400 to run daily reports and track essential metrics. Additionally, I verified purchase requisitions with a focus on price accuracy, supplier performance, and managing risk. I kept purchase orders updated and ensured all stakeholders were informed throughout the process, promoting transparency and accountability. Budget management was another critical part of my role, which allowed me to make informed decisions when placing new orders. I also processed Corrective Actions and RMA for non-conforming materials. Reviewing and analyzing invoices was a regular task to ensure pricing and deliveries were accurate. Throughout my role, I proactively identified and resolved issues related to inventory, delivery, or production output to keep operations running smoothly.

I coordinated purchasing activities with Sales, Production, and Engineering departments to ensure inventory levels remained consistent with planning targets. In collaboration with the engineering team, I researched and validated sourcing strategies, identifying both primary and secondary suppliers for raw materials to ensure supply chain resilience. I was responsible for generating purchase orders, overseeing logistics, and tracking orders through to completion and delivery. Part of my role involved continuous negotiation for better pricing on both raw materials and finished goods, keeping costs competitive. I managed RGA requests with vendors, following up on credits or replacement orders to ensure issues were promptly resolved. Additionally, I handled the procurement of shop consumables and office supplies, ensuring all operational needs were met. Building and maintaining strong relationships with both local and overseas vendors was a priority, as was overseeing the components department to ensure proper procedures for receiving, pulling, and tracking inventory. I also managed accounts payables and purchasing activities using QuickBooks, ensuring financial accuracy and timely payments.

I managed all company purchasing activities, including forecasting usage, negotiating purchasing terms, and arranging shipping. I conducted yearly inventory audits, sourced products, and monitored market trends to keep the business competitive. My role also involved reviewing product samples, attending trade shows, and scheduling meetings for the CEO, while also serving as the CEO’s assistant. I collaborated closely with the graphic arts department to ensure packaging met all specifications and worked on quality control, resolving defect disputes, and securing credits for defective products. I also logistically planned all incoming shipments, reducing shipping costs by 20% through strategic ocean freight planning.
