Program coordinator for the interdisciplinary graduate program "Genetic Pest Management: Genetic Engineering & Society" at N.C. State University funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) through its Integrative Graduate Education Research Traineeship (IGERT) program. Responsible for day to day administration and planning under direct supervision of the program director. Must ensure all activities are appropriately organized and carried out efficiently; coordinate communication with the external evaluator and the external advisory board. In charge of the day-to-day organization and coordination of 1) recruitment of students, 2) trainee dossiers and assessment data, 3) all scholarly events, 4) IGERT faculty and trainee travel arrangements, 5) international summer courses, 6) research internship logistics, 7) shared research facilities, equipment, and computers, 8) web-based communication system and other software issues, 9) financial needs of program participants, and 10) reporting out procedures for annual reports required by NSF.

Responsible for maintenance of detailed patient records including accounting of patient visits, outstanding personal accounts, and relevant insurance - Responsible for executing all credit card transactions - Created and implemented new organizational scheme for tracking patient accounts - Streamlined filing system for easier access to patient information

Executed graduate and grant work in animal facility and laboratory settings - Supervised post-doctoral candidate, graduate student and undergrad work -Responsible for the tissue collection, tissue imaging on MCID and confocal scanning microscopes, and histological analysis of DAB and fluorescence markers for GnRH, KISS-1, ER alpha receptor, ER beta receptor, oxytocin, and progesterone receptor containing neurons in the AVPV, MPoA, VMN, and ARC regions of the brain - Maintained genotypic records for GFP colony and all other animal use studies; including DNA extraction, PCR, agarose gel execution and data analysis - Ran drug treatment dosage studies and behavioral research testing for partner-preference, anxiety, aggression and mating in genistein, BPA and DPN-treated rats - Responsible for editorial review of all research papers prior to submission for publication
