The National Network of Angel Investors (NNOAI) as part of the LAUNCH FUNDING NETWORK builds upon the foundation the successful Network of Business Angel Investors (NBA&I). NBA&I was a "country club" for angel investors, enjoying the honor of being named the most active angel investor group in the Southeast and one of top 50 angel investor groups by Inc Magazine before it was sunset in 2012 to respond to the changing capital climate and the de-regulation of how investors and entrepreneurs connect. NNOAI is integral to the Compassionate Capitalist Movement with a goal to provide a virtual community of investors that have access to education and resources that will remove the fear, uncertainty and doubt investors have when considering adding private stock to their wealth creation and preservation strategy. The organization has become the foundation for the next-gen investor community virtually connected across the company to to be able to review private investment opportunities in the privacy of their home. As part of the community, the NNOAI members bring their preferred deals to Karen's team to conduct a level 2 screening to narrow their list down to the 1 or 2 they have time and capital capacity to proceed with. The Network of Business Angels & Investors (NBA&I) was started in 2004 by Jerry Martin as a national evolution for a group of guys that got together for breakfast on a weekly basis to talk about deals they could buy into and make money. Jerry Martin mentored Karen Rands to take over the organization and rebuild it after the fallout from the the Dot.Com market collapse. The Mission of the Angel Investor Network though-out its evolution, was to create an environment for high net worth individuals to learn about, evaluate, and make investments in private equity opportunities. Over the years we held over 60 dinner pitch events and large multi-day private equity conferences, connecting hundreds of companies with capital providers and investors. We held our last meeting in November 2012. During the economic shift, it became apparent that our members, business owners and executives that attended our entrepreneur showcase events had the desire to invest, but lacked the time to complete due diligence to be comfortable with their investment. So we took a fresh look at the needs of the sophisticated & accredited investors who wanted to own a portion of multiple private companies as part of their wealth creation strategy and came up with National Network of Angels & Investors (NNOAI) to provide a virtual network of investors to explore and syndicate on opportunities they want to invest in. The legacy of NBA&I, through NNOAI, will continue and the mission to be the leader of the Compassionate Capitalist Movement will live on from the proud foundation laid by NBA&I as a regional angel investor network.
