Responsible for processing payroll for about 1,000 employees across six different US locations. Employees are both union and non-union with payroll paid weekly and semi-monthly. Responsible for overseeing processing, payroll tax compliance, withholdings, garnishments, updating tax tables, responding to tax notices and supervising two team members. Also responsible for reconciling payroll related accounts in the general ledger.

Responsible for US tax processing for 18K employees, 10 FEINs, all 50 states including Guam and Puerto Rico. I handle all quarter end and year end processing. I lead one team member in daily tasks and complete research on all incoming inquiries from employees, other departments, and taxing authorities.

* Supervise staff of 4 (1 Processor, 1 Tax administrator, and 2 Garnishment administrators). * Process tax payments (federal, state, local, and unemployment) for multi-state weekly payroll of 18K+ employees, utilizing ADP. * Research and resolve tax set up issues from employees, HR and benefits departments. * Responsible for maintaining account numbers and unemployment rates in BSI Tax Factory. * Responsible for compliance for all tax and garnishment laws and regulations. * Manage, research, and process all payroll tax correspondence for all entities. * Handle balancing and submitting quarter end files and year end files to ADP for submission to federal and state agencies. * Responsible for account reconciliation of all tax liability accounts.

* Process tax payments (federal, state, local, and unemployment) for multi-state weekly, semi-monthly payroll of 15K+ employees. * Research and resolve tax set up issues from employees, HR and benefits departments. * Responsible for maintaining account numbers and unemployment rates in JDE software. * Primary functional tester for system integration changes related to payroll utilizing JDE software. * Process improvement specialist collaborating with another analyst to automate payment processes. * Manage, research, and process all payroll tax correspondence for all entities. * Lead in W2 and year end processing including creation of mag media files for SSA and state agencies.

* Managed team of 5 employees in creation of and changes to vendor master data in SAP. * Verified contract and insurance requirements were met by vendors per company policy. * Expanded and improved vendor set up process for increased productivity of employees. * Implemented automated workflow for current process for tracking purposes. * Verified and confirmed accuracy and integrity of all vendor master data in system.

* Assisted legal team in adjusting forms to comply with state & federal employment vs. contractor legislation.; Processed tax returns (federal, state, and local) for income and franchise taxes utilizing ProSystems. * Researched and resolved tax issues from taxing agencies. * Assisted in reconciliation of tax accounts in the general ledger. * Responsible for registration and set up for electronic filing and payment of corporate taxes.

* Processed tax payments (federal, state, local, and unemployment) for multi-state weekly payroll of 50K+ employees. * Responsible for W2s and W2Cs of all companies including reconciliation and print process (10 FEINs). * Researched and resolved tax set up issues from employees and our human resources department. * Assisted in reconciliation and clean up of all payroll tax accounts in the general ledger. * Primary functional tester for system configuration changes related to payroll utilizing SAP software. * Functional team leader on 2 projects converting acquired companies from PeopleSoft to SAP. * Assisted HR in policy changes to comply with legal requirements.

* Processed multi-state semi-monthly payrolls for 55,000 employees. * Processed tax payments (federal, state, local, and unemployment). * Processed and filed W2Cs and related amended returns. * Processed all journal entries for the payroll department. * Assisted in clean up of general ledger reconciliations for withholding accounts. * Facilitated SAP implementation as a functional team leader.

* Processed weekly payrolls for 150-200 employees. * Set up all new hire paperwork and changes to existing employees. * Handled all unemployment claims and worker's compensation claims. * Processed benefit enrollment, medical insurance claims and all 401k payments and 401k loans. * Assisted in entry, processing, and month end closing of accounts payable.
