Managed the state income tax planning function for the Aon tax department. Analyzed the state tax effects of moving or merging legal entities, integrating acquisitions, and other tax planning ideas. Supervised the sales tax and personal property tax functions (staff of four) and managed the more complex audits. Performed special projects such as assisting with state income tax and payroll tax audits, reviewing contracts to analyze the potential tax effects, determining sales taxation of business process outsourcing services, and tracking and responding to proposed legislative changes. Oversaw 1099 filing process by coordinating with the business units.
