Studied on an amino acid transporter, Slc5A8, (a Na+-coupled high-affinity transporter) as a tumor suppressor in colon. Slc5A8 in colon dendritic cells was found to play an obligatory role in the suppression of IFN-gamma-producing T-cells in response to butyrate. Assisted PhD students for troubleshooting and experimental plan.

Studied on the mechanism of amino acid transporters including LAT1 and CD98hc function. The interaction of CD98hc with Annexin A2 and p11 was carried out.
