Kaleigh's current focus in her work as a PhD graduate student at Carleton University looking at community resiliency and adaptation to flooding on the Wolastoq river in New Brusnwick, Canada. Kaleigh focused on the role of community consultation for resiliency in her field research in South Tarawa, Kiribati. She has experience in academic and work settings in writing, research, and policy briefing notes as well as fieldwork experience in international relations and development, particularly in issues of migration, international institutions, small island developing states and climate change. Finally, she has professional experience on a range of topics from Canadian migration policy, multiculturalism, and aboriginal rights.
