As a Senior Enrollment Advisor, I worked closely with Alumni and Doctoral prospective students in connecting them with their respective degree programs. Many of the students I assisted were RNs and APRNs, requiring high-level conversations in detail about the degree programs. My productivity placed me in the top 5 EAs of my department, just behind the Enrollment Managers with an 84% successful Enrollment:Acceptance rate.

As an Outpatient Registered Dietitian, I provided Medical Nutrition Therapy and proper EMR documentation to patients regarding: Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease, Allergies, Bariatric, Pediatric, and Weight Management.

As the Nutrition Coordinator of the Head Start program, I planned monthly menus for students ages 15 months-5 years old. I procured these food items and managed 3 personnel in food production. I also payed close attention to the nutritional needs of each child in order to write Individual Nutrition Plans and accommodated their allergies, religions, and other important aspects of their lives. I tracked the progress of the students in relation to the services provided and utilized by the families. I had a role in referring families to additional services such as WIC and the local food pantry.

At Langwater Farm, I enjoyed participating in a variety of daily activities ranging from working in the farm stand, at a farmer's market, and in the field. I discussed recipes with customers and how to best prepare certain unfamiliar produce items as well as introduced new sustainability practices including reducing waste. In the field, I harvested many different fruits and vegetables available as the season progressed as well as tended to the land with weeding and planting the next rotation of crops.

As a Shift Supervisor, I was cross-trained on many aspects of this food service operation. I worked on the grill, hot line, cold line, and cash register. I helped train new employees and functioned frequently as the closing shift supervisor. I closed the cash register system at the end of the night and overlooked all closing procedures. I ensured all foods were put away safely to limit the growth of any bacteria.

In conjunction with a class taken at FSU, Foodservice Systems, this internship rotation focuses on methods used to produce a mass quantity of food. I am studying the flow of food and am able to participate in the production process. I completed an 18 hour rotation in the Spring of 2017 and have returned for the Spring 2018 semester to complete the full rotation.

In conjunction with a course taken at FSU, Medical Nutrition Therapy II, I completed about 20 hours of "lab experience" at MRMC during the Spring of 2017. Here, I practiced taking 24 Hour Diet Recalls with patients having health problems in regard to Cardiac, Diabetes, Renal, and GI. I completed Nutrition Care Plans for each of these patients and became more familiar with the Electronic Medical Record. I returned in the Fall of 2017 to complete my Clinical Rotation of my Dietetic Internship. I regularly saw from 7-12 patients daily by the end of my three week long Staff Relief period. I learned to complete daily activities of a Clinical RD on the Cardiac and Oncology floors including participating in multidisciplinary medical rounds, assessing patients, completing notes in the EMR, and a variety of quality control measurements.
